In order to advance research on agent-based IS and to better fulfill its mission SIGABIS announces the "SIGABIS Best Paper Award" competition. It is an annual event. SIGABIS considers only submissions to SIGABIS sponsored events.

The special guest is John Hagel III, business consultant and author, former McKinsey partner, and until recently the chief strategy officer of 12 Entrepreneuring. John is co-author (with John Seely Brown) of the article, "Your Next IT Strategy," Harvard Business Review, October 2001.
